Alan Nicholson, President

Alan has been on the Board since 2004. He practices architectural design and land use planning. He has been involved in conservation for 40 years. He has worked to draft County mitigation fee exchanges for development to conservation easements.

Darcy Vaughn, Treasurer

While working towards her J.D. from U.C. Hastings, Darcy interned at the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice Environment and Natural Resources Division. She currently practices Indian law and municipal law at the Law Offices of Rapport & Marston and is Assistant City Attorney for the City of Ukiah.

Leif Farr

Leif holds a degree in Geography from Sonoma State University and for the last 31 years he has worked in the Cartographic, Land Use, and Geographic Analysis fields within both the public and private sectors.

Mackenzie O'Donnell

Mackenzie holds an MBA in Environmental Management & Sustainability. Working in the fields of environmental sustainability, restoration and conservation, and land management. She actively encourages corporate social responsibility, and improved environmental education standards.

David Lohse

Dave retired in 1977 from an extensive career working in public planning agencies, including the County of Mendocino and the City of Ukiah. He then became a Certified California Naturalist and worked with the Sacramento County Parks Department. Dave is a passionate photographer and has shown widely in galleries throughout California.

Suzanne Pletcher

Suzanne has long been active in advocating for community trails and conservation. She is a retired environmental communications professional and continues to write about environmental issues. She contributes to the Historical Society of Mendocino County newsletter and served locally as director of Leadership Mendocino.
